Paint Chips (2018) is a series of drawings with collaged elements on found paint chips. These paint chips were sourced from a house in Rice’s neighborhood in the process of being flipped. The photographs come from their personal archive as well as vintage postcards from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Inspired by the process of gentrification, they used photo-transfers, layered paint, and colored pencil to alter architecture and change the form and mood of each setting.
